Arsenal are reportedly set to complete the signing of Fulham teenager Mika Biereth, after a sensational 20-21 campaign caught the eye. The London-born attacker starred for The Cottagers last season, at Under-18 level. Now, Arsenal have struck a deal to sign 18-year-old Biereth first.

Biereth stole the show in the southern division of the Under-18 Premier League. Playing 21 of Fulham’s 24 league games, Biereth clocked up a whopping 21 goals and 13 assists. That form guided Fulham to the top of the table and a title clash against north champions Manchester City.

They lost 3-1, but Biereth’s impression is long lasting. Now, The Athletic claimvia Football Londonthat Arsenal will sign Biereth. He rejected professional terms with Fulham and he is set to become the North London side’s third signing of the summer after Nuno Tavares and Albert Lokonga.

What are Arsenal fans saying about Biereth?

The Gunners already have a wealth of options in the final third. At first-team level, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Gabriel Martinelli, Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are all options. Folarin Balogun is on the verge of breaking through, after signing a new deal with the Gunners.

But Biereth will be hoping to break into the Under-23 side following his reportedly imminent arrival. Many Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to discuss the potential move. One fan reckons, perhaps sarcastically, he is better than Manchester United striker Anthony Martial.
