Arsenal are set to complete their third signing of the summer in the form of Fulham talent Mika Biereth. The Athletic claim, as per Football London, that Biereth has rejected professional terms at Fulham and has now joined the Gunners academy. He has caught the eye after a brilliant 20-21 campaign.
Biereth, 18, has been in stunning form. Starring in Fulham’s success in the southern Under-18 Premier League, Biereth fired the Cottagers to the top of the table. Playing 21 of his side’s 24 league games, the London-born teen scored 21 goals – and laid on an impressive 13 assists.
Fulham lost the final to Manchester City, who had won the northern section. But Biereth was excellent for Fulham, and it has caught the eye of Arsenal. The Athletic’s report suggests that Biereth has already joined the Arsenal academy, a third signing after Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares.

Biereth is a brilliant addition at Arsenal, Fulham should be kicking themselves
But what Arsenal must do now, is make sure his pathway into the Under-23 side – and first-team – is clear. That means clearing any unneeded strikers out of the way, ones that are only going to be to the detriment of Biereth’s progression. Right now, Eddie Nketiah falls under that category.
For both Arsenal and Nketiah, a move needs to happen this summer. His contract will expire in 2022 and Arsenal need to cash in. Similarly, Alexandre Lacazette is out of contract – but he perhaps still offers enough to the team to keep. Biereth is a brilliant addition for Arsenal, though.
