'We can only dream': Some Arsenal fans want Raiola-owned superstar amid reports, Tuchel and Spurs also linked
Arsenal are one of six European heavyweights reportedly considering a move to sign AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. The Italy international is out of contract in the summer, and Arsenal fans have responded to the rumours that they could end up signing Donnarumma.
Still only 22, Donnarumma is one of Europe’s best goalkeeping talents. The 26-time Italy international has clocked up 251 senior games for boyhood club Milan – keeping 88 clean sheets. He has played a crucial part in helping them qualify for the Champions League.
But his contract is about to expire. The two parties could not come to an agreement. Now, the 26-time Italy stopper is looking for a new club. Italian newspaper Tuttosport report that three Premier League clubs want him, along with Roma, PSG and Juventus.
What are Arsenal fans thinking about Donnarumma?
Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea are credited with an interest in Donnarumma – who will now do battle with Jose Mourinho, Mauricio Pochettino and Max Allegri for Donnarumma’s signature. Tottenham need a keeper, with Hugo Lloris being linked with the exit door.
The Spurs skipper has entered his last 12 months at Spurs while Arsenal could also need a man between the sticks. Mat Ryan has left and Bernd Leno is not in the form of his life. Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to the potential arrival of Donnarumma, and most are desperate to see him at Arsenal.
One issue, though, might be that he is represented by Mino Raiola – as per TransferMarkt.
