Arsenal fans react as club reportedly eye Nouassir Mazraoui, available for a cut-price fee of just £8.5m
Arsenal are reportedly looking at Ajax defender Nouassir Mazraoui this summer as a possible replacement for Hector Bellerin. The Ajax defender could be sold on the cheap due to his current contract situation – and Gunners fans are desperate to see their club get a deal over the line.
Mazraoui, 23, has broken into the Ajax side in recent seasons – clocking up more than 100 appearances for the Dutch champions. His contract, despite his form, is about to expire in June 2022. It means that this summer, Ajax boast one more opportunity to bring in some cash for the Moroccan ace.
Spanish publication Estadio Deportivo have claimed that Mazraoui has emerged as an option for Arsenal this summer. Hector Bellerin is said to be on the agenda for numerous Spanish sides, including Real Betis. Lille defender Zeki Celik is also being considered – but Spurs are also keen.
What do Arsenal fans think about Mazraoui?
The report claims that Ajax rate their Moroccan right-back at £14.5million. But, because of his current contract situation, reports claim Ajax are ready to cash in. So, Mazraoui could be available for a cut-price figure of just £8.5million. It means that if Arsenal sell Bellerin, they could make a profit with Mazraoui – because Bellerin is likely to cost at least £15million.
Arsenal fans have reacted to the reports that their club could sign Mazraoui in the coming weeks and months. One fan thinks he is “perfect”.
