Arsenal reportedly won’t allow Reuell Walters to go out on loan this January despite plenty of interest from clubs.
The 19-year-old right-back is regarded as one of Arsenal’s most exciting academy graduates, with the England youth international making the matchday squad on numerous occasions for the Gunners.
However, Walters is yet to make his professional debut under Mikel Arteta, and that has led to some fans theorising that the teenager could be heading out on loan this month.

Arsenal, though, seem to have other plans, with the Evening Standard reporting that Walters, as well as Amario Cozier-Duberry, won’t be allowed to leave north London on loan.
Lauded as ‘amazing’ by Oleksandr Zinchenko, the decision to allow Walters to not go out on loan is an unusual one from Arsenal, especially with every game now as important as the last.
And with Walters at a stage in his career where he should have made his professional debut by now, the Gunners could be making a mistake in keeping the defender around for the remainder of the season.
Arsenal will regret not letting Reuell Walters leave on loan

With Arsenal stacked in the right-back position, Arteta has no real excuse as to why Walters can’t go out on loan yet to a Championship or League One side.
The defender is clearly highly rated at Arsenal and is viewed as a talent who could become a first-team player in the years to come.
Yet not granting Walters the chance to showcase his abilities at a senior level is a backwards choice by Arsenal, who could be doing more damage than good in keeping the defender at the club.
