Arsenal defender, Gabriel Magalhaes, would actually be interested in exploring a potential move to Juventus this summer, writes Miguel Delaney.
Writing in his weekly Reading the Game column for The Independent, Delaney has reported today that there is indeed interest from Juventus in Gabriel. This builds on reports from just this week where it was claimed the Italian side would be willing to offer the Gunners a couple of players in exchange for the defender.
Arsenal only signed Gabriel in 2020, when they paid Lille around £23m for his services. Since then, the Brazilian has become a mainstay in the Arsenal XI and has won plenty of plaudits for his performances. Indeed, Mikel Arteta has tipped Gabriel to have what he called an ‘incredible‘ future in the game.

However, the comments from Delaney about the defender’s willingness to consider Juve will concern the Gunners.
It’s said that Gabriel would be open to the move at this stage of his career, although a lot would depend on what Juventus offer Arsenal for the club to even consider entering into discussions. A number of players, such as Adrien Rabiot, are said to have been offered.
TBR’s View: Arsenal Can’t Go Selling Gabriel Right Now
This would go against a lot of the good work Edu and Arteta have done at Arsenal, really. If the club decided to part ways with Gabriel, then it simply wouldn’t make sense.
The defender has been nothing short of magnificent ever since he arrived and there’s a feeling around the club that he’ll go on and get even better.
Of course, every player has a price in football. But on this occasion, that price needs to be a massive one if the Gunners are to consider selling Gabriel.
