Arsenal could start 'incredible' 20-year-old at Manchester United, fans should be thrilled - TBR View

Arsenal have a huge Premier League clash coming up tonight as they head to Manchester United.

The Gunners have been in great form from September onwards this season and go into the game on the back of a victory.

Arsenal made amends for their loss at Liverpool by running out 2-0 winners over Newcastle last time out.

However, Mikel Arteta is sweating on a key player’s fitness, with Bukayo Saka a doubt for the trip to Old Trafford.

The 20-year-old limped off in the win over the Magpies after feeling discomfort in his thigh.

On Wednesday, Arteta provided an update on Saka’s fitness ahead of the trip to Old Trafford.

“We have the doubt with Bukayo and another few knocks that we got against Newcastle,” the Evening Standard quotes him as saying.

“I am hopeful, but we don’t know [if Saka can play].

“It is a really short turnaround and the player has to be comfortable playing with a little injury.”

With Saka a doubt, Arteta could potentially unleash Gabriel Martinelli in his place.

The 20-year-old made waves in his first season at Arsenal, the then-teenager getting into double figures for goals.

And last week, Martinelli replaced Saka before scoring a sensational volley to make sure of all three points.

The Brazilian has often struggled for game time at the Emirates, with many fans often calling for him to start.

And if Saka isn’t risked, then Gooners could potentially see their wish come true tonight.

Martinelli is a top player who has received plaudits from fans, pundits and peers alike.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has previously lauded him for his “incredible work”.

Meanwhile, Brazil legend Ronaldinho has compared the Arsenal gem to the equally iconic Ronaldo Nazario.

And if Martinelli starts and puts United to the sword tonight, then Arteta will surely be unable to leave him out much longer.
