It will have to be a simple loan deal with no option to buy. That is because Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta could use him next season, with the North London club believing that the winger would be a success in the long run.

La Lazio Siamo Noi has claimed that Lazio were not particularly receptive to the idea of signing Smith Rowe and are looking at bringing in Jack Clarke from Sunderland instead.

My View: Emile Smith Rowe has to consider his long-term Arsenal future

In my opinion, Emile Smith Rowe has to consider his long-term future at Arsenal in the summer of 2024.

I think that if the 23-year-old does not think that he will get to start regularly again, then he should leave at the end of the season.

Yes, I know that the England international has come through the Arsenal youth system. I also understand that Arteta rates him highly. After all, it was only this month when the Gunners’ manager described him as a player with “incredible qualities”.

However, Smith Rowe is struggling for playing time at the moment, and I do not see how that is going to change anytime soon.
