Arsenal attacking midfielder Emile Smith Rowe does not want to leave for West Ham United in the January transfer window.

That is according to journalist Charles Watts, who has reported on X Smith Rowe’s stance on his immediate future.

So, what has been reported about Arsenal, West Ham United and Emile Smith Rowe? Let’s take a look.

Emile Smith Rowe wants Arsenal stay amid West Ham United interest

Well, West Ham United have been linked with Arsenal attacking midfielder Emile Smith Rowe.

TalkSPORT has reported that West Ham want to sign the 23-year-old, who can also play as a winger, on a loan deal in the January transfer window.

Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has reported on X that Arsenal have made it clear that they do not want to let the England international leave in the middle of the season.

Plettenberg, though, has noted that talks are ongoing, suggesting that West Ham are not giving up on a potential deal deal for the youngster so easily.

Journalist Charles Watts has reported on X that Smith Rowe himself does not want to leave Arsenal in the middle of the season.

Watts has claimed that the 23-year-old is keen on working hard in training and trying to get into the Arsenal starting lineup.

My View: Emile Smith Rowe could struggle for playing time at Arsenal

In my opinion, Arsenal attacking midfielder Emile Smith Rowe could struggle to get playing time for the North London club in the coming weeks and months.

I do not see Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta making him a regular in the team anytime soon.

That the Gunners signed Kai Havertz from Chelsea in the summer of 2023 despite having Smith Rowe on their books was an indication that the North London were moving on from the England international.

Smith Rowe has made one start and five substitute appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal this season, giving one assist in the process.
