Arsenal have built a superb squad full of top players over the past few years, culminating in two Premier League title challenges.
Meanwhile, the Gunners’ Hale End academy continues to produce top talents expected to have bright futures in the game.
However, there will sadly be those who slip through the net and decide that their future lies away from the Emirates Stadium.
Now, it has been reported that one of the brightest youngsters in the Arsenal academy setup has decided that he wants a change.

Chido Obi-Martin reportedly set to leave Arsenal
The player in question is Chido Obi-Martin, a forward who made headlines last season thanks to his goal-scoring heroics for the Gunners.
According to All Nigeria Soccer, it’s “all-but confirmed” that the 16-year-old- who is currently a free agent – will not be playing for the north Londoners next term.
Arsenal reportedly offered Obi-Martin two new deals ahead of the forthcoming season, a scholarship which will be upgraded to a professional contract upon his seventeenth birthday in November 2024.
However, the Danish-Nigerian striker has yet to accept the offer from Arsenal and, according to the report, “everything indicates that he has played his last game” for the Gunners.
It is understood that Obi-Martin will make a final decision on his future next week, with a potential departure from N5 on the cards, added the report.
Huge blow for Arsenal
If the report is true, this would be a huge blow for Arsenal in their hopes of retaining a player who has been nothing short of sensational over the past 12 months.
Obi-Martin finished last season with a staggering 32 goals and three assists from just 24 outings at youth level.
Back in November, the teenager scored 10 goals for Arsenal’s Under-16s in a 14-3 win over Liverpool’s U16s.
Obi-Martin also shone for Denmark at this year’s European U17 Championships, scoring two goals in five matches, and was named in the Team of the Tournament.
Gunners legend Wright is quoted by football.london as saying: “Chido Obi-Martin, he’s 15, honestly, he’s like 6ft 2in, he looks really quick.”
