Arsenal remain in the hunt to sign Juventus winger, Dejan Kulusevski, with reports from Italy today claiming the Gunners are ‘serious’ about landing the Swede.
According to Calciomercato, Arsenal are still looking at the possibility of signing Kulusevski in January. It comes just a day after a report from the same publication suggested that Tottenham were close to landing the tricky wide man.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Arsenal have been mentioned in relation to Kulusevski. In fact, he has been touted more than once in December alone. Just a few weeks ago, we covered how Gazzetta had suggested the Swedish star could leave Juve for as little as £22m. However, today’s latest claims seems to differ from that.

Instead, Calciomercato have claimed that Juventus are still looking at around £29.5m for their man. But crucially, this is not thought to have put Arsenal off. Instead, the Gunners remain firmly in the race and could consider making their move in January.
The winger was signed for close to £40m by Juve. But he’s not quite hit the heights expected, and he’s now surplus to requirements, providing the right bid comes.
TBR’s View: Do Arsenal Really Need Kulusevski?
At the moment, the answer is probably not. For a start, where is he playing? He isn’t dislodging Saka, and the way Martinelli is playing, he’s not going anywhere either. On the bench, Emile Smith Rowe has also been excellent.
Of course, should Nicolas Pepe move on, then there could be a place in the squad. Certainly, Kulusevski has enough talent to make an impact. You don’t get compared to Kevin De Bruyne if you haven’t got something about you.
Arsenal are flying at the moment. Adding new players could ensure that standards are maintained. However, just shy of £30m for a player not even guaranteed to start, seems an odd move.
