A number of Southampton fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from The Telegraph claiming that Spurs have made Danny Ings their top transfer target this summer.

The Saints face a tough decision with Ings in this window. It has been reported that his contract expires next summer. And he has no intention of penning fresh terms.

That appears to have alerted Tottenham. According to The Telegraph, Nuno Espirito Santo wants to switch to a front two next season.

And with that in mind, Ings has become the club’s top target. It is claimed that he is valued at around £20 million.

There has been a mixed reaction. Plenty of Southampton fans have different views about the reports.

Some are clearly fed up of the speculation. They want a resolution as soon as possible – even if that means he leaves.

There is also division over the reported valuation. For some, £20 million is not enough. They would potentially benefit more from keeping him for one more year.
