Arsenal fans endured a miserable opening Premier League weekend as they saw their Gunners side swept aside by Premier League newcomers, Brentford.

The Gunners looked far away from where they need to be as a team for this season. Apart from the likes of Smith Rowe and Saka, there were too many Arsenal players having off days.

Players such as Leno, Mari, and Xhaka once again came up short of the required standard. Mikel Arteta, too, also cut a frustrated figure and there were question marks over his tactics and selection once again.

The loss prompted Talksport pundit and former Spurs player, Jamie O’Hara, to suggest that Eddie Howe take over from Arteta.
