Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma could still play against Southampton this weekend, Antonio Conte has told Football.London.
Football.London reported today that Bissouma could miss the club’s opening Premier League match this weekend after suffering a slight issue with his hamstring.
The 25-year-old completed a switch to North London this summer from Brighton and will be eager to break into Conte’s side.
And despite suffering with a hamstring issue, the Mali international could be available for the game on Saturday.

Conte suggests Bissouma could play
“At the moment we only have one player who will definitely miss Southampton and that is Skipp,” he said.
“Bissouma, another day [before the game] still, nothing serious, but I don’t want to take a risk with anyone for the next games.”
The former Brighton man got the nod over Rodrigo Bentancur in Spurs’ final game of pre-season against Roma last weekend.
And after Oliver Skipp’s injury in training, it looks to be a battle between the pair for a starting place this weekend.

Bissouma was substituted for Bentancur at half-time during the Roma match and has since suffered an injury in training.
And if the Mali international doesn’t make in time for the Southampton game, Conte will surely start Bentancur alongside Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
The Italian will be hoping to have Bissouma back for the weekend as he may be a bit light if not. With Skipp out injured for two to three weeks, the only other central midfielder available would be youngster Pape Matar Sarr.
Spurs do still have Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele at the club, but Conte is yet to use the pair during pre-season so it’s unlikely that they will feature.
It will be a big boost for Conte if Bissouma is available to play on Saturday as it would give him a crucial extra option in midfield.
