Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou was apparently furious with Dejan Kulusevski just before half-time in the game against Fulham last night.
Spurs picked up a convincing 2-0 win over Marco Silva’s side. Postceoglou is delighted with the result, but there’s more than one thing he wasn’t happy with yesterday. Kulusevski’s decision to not shoot was one of them.

Ange Postecoglou was furious with Tottenham’s Dejan Kulusevski
Tottenham absolutely dominated Fulham in the first half last night.
Spurs started the game well and were on the front foot. They moved the ball around really well and all of their players looked up for the task.
After Son Heung-min gave them the lead, it looked like it was only a matter of time before a second one would go in before the break.
The big chance fell to Dejan Kulusevski, who found himself at the end of a brilliant pass inside the box, but his unselfishness cost Tottenham a second goal before half-time.
Andy Townsend was on commentary for Premier League Productions last night, and he spotted Ange Postcoglou really angry after Kulusevski failed to convert his chance.
He said live on air just before the break: “He’s got to shoot there. Kulusevski there, Martin (Tyler), has to apply the finishing touch there. It’s a brilliant ball from Romero again. That’s an important moment in the game because that should end up in the back of the net.
“I just saw Ange Postecoglou’s face there, and he was furious that they didn’t make more of that.”

Kulusevski’s numbers for Tottenham aren’t great
Dejan Kulusevski is one of Tottenham’s most talented players, there’s no debate there.
The 23-year-old had a strange game last night. He showed flashes of absolute brilliance, but there were some moments where he was really poor too.
Overall as well, despite being an absolutely brilliant player, Kulusevski needs to improve his output. In 67 games for Tottenham, he has scored just nine goals, which is not great. It just does not reflect how good a player he really is.
It will be interesting to see how Postecoglou will try to get more goals out of Kulusevski in the coming weeks and months.
