Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that he can afford to sell Eric Dier this month despite Ben Davies’ injury last night.
Spurs have had terrible luck with injuries this season, haven’t they? They’ve missed a number of players over the last few months, and Davies has now joined the list. That, however, is not going to have any impact on Dier’s Tottenham future, says Postecoglou.

Ange Postecoglou says Tottenham can afford to sell Eric Dier
There was some good news for Tottenham fans last night as Micky van de Ven returned to the squad for the first time since November.
The Dutchman was an unused substitute, but having him back is a real boost.
However, Tottenham’s luck with injuries has been so bad that they lost another defender – Ben Davies – on the same night that they welcomed Van de Ven back.
Ange Postecoglou confirmed last night that the Welsh international suffered a hamstring injury, and that could keep him out of the side for a little while.
In his press conference after Tottenham’s win last night, Postecoglou was asked if he could afford to let Eric Dier leave the club now after Davies’ injury.
The Spurs boss had a little think before giving a very straight answer: “Yes!” (Football London)

Dier has no future at Tottenham
It has been clear for a few months now that Eric Dier has no future at Tottenham.
The £85,000-a-week (Spotrac) Englishman has played less than 200 minutes of football this season. Ange Postecoglou has preferred the likes of Emerson Royal and Ben Davies ahead of him, which shows where he stands.
Davies’ injury last night, in an ideal world, would put Dier back in contention, but the fact that Postecoglou has now confirmed that he can afford to sell the 29-year-old tells you everything you need to know about his future.
We expect Dier to leave Tottenham in the coming days, and it looks like Bayern Munich are all set to be his next club.
