Tottenham Hotspur have a lot of work to do in the upcoming summer transfer window, don’t they?

Ange Postecoglou has transformed Spurs since taking charge of the club last summer. He has turned Tottenham into one of the most exciting clubs in the Premier League.

Just that, however, is not enough. Postecoglou will be keen to fight for the big trophies in the near future, and to do that, he will need help from the transfer market.

Tottenham are expected to dive into the market for a few new players, but before they do that, they will have to get rid of some of their own.

One Tottenham player may have played his last game for Spurs already

Since Ange Postecoglou took charge of Tottenham, almost every player at the club has shown tremendous improvement.

Even the players who don’t play regularly have improved, but there are still a few who are just not quite at the level required.

One of them is Bryan Gil.

The Spaniard joined Tottenham for £21 million back in 2021 in a deal that saw Erik Lamela go to Sevilla (Sky Sports). There was a lot of hype around Gil at the time, but he has failed to live up to the expectations.

Gil hasn’t made the Tottenham squad in each of their last three Premier League games.

Reports have claimed that he is not happy at Spurs, while it has also been revealed that Postecoglou doesn’t want him at the club either.

That suggests Gil is guaranteed to leave Tottenham in the summer, and with almost everyone back fit now, we think he may not play for Spurs ever again. There’s no need for him anymore as there are several players ahead of him in Postecoglou’s pecking order.

Bryan Gil’s record at Spurs is so disappointing

When you watch Bryan Gil play, you can see the potential he possesses.

The Spaniard is technically gifted, excellent on the ball and capable of gliding past opponents effortlessly. He really does have the quality to become an important player.

However, his record as a Tottenham player is very, very poor.

Gil has played 42 times for Spurs since joining them, and he hasn’t scored a goal. He has just two assists to his name, which is terrible for an attacker.

A move away in the summer is the best thing for all parties involved, and it will be interesting to see where Gil will end up.
