Bryan Gil has endured another frustrating season at Tottenham in what his third campaign at the club – and reports from Spain claims he is “not happy” under the guidance of Ange Postecoglou.
The 23-year-old joined Spurs back in 2021 – for a player-plus-cash deal involving Erik Lamela and Sevilla. He has since gone on loan twice, managing just 42 appearances for Spurs in his three years.
He returned to Tottenham last summer after a successful loan with Sevilla, but he has managed just 11 appearances under Postecoglou – and only two starts, one of which he was hooked at half-time in.
A report from Spanish outlet Vamos Mi Sevilla FC claims that Gil is “not happy” with his lack of game time this season. He is of the opinion that he deserves a lot more game time at Tottenham, this term.
Alasdair Gold recently said that he was surprised that Gil is still at Tottenham. There is interest in him. Sevilla want him back, while La Liga duo Real Sociedad and Mallorca want to bring Gil back to Spain.

Bryan Gil not happy at Tottenham under Ange Postecoglou
Of course, Gil is well-liked at Sevilla having come through the academy there and playing well while on loan last season. Sociedad showed interest in January, but Gil will be at Tottenham – until the summer.
The chances are that Gil will leave Spurs in the summer, and it might be a permanent move given his stance currently – and that it has been three years at Tottenham with no breakthrough into the team.
Son Heung-min, Richarlison, Brennan Johnson and Dejan Kulusevski sit ahead of the £83k-a-week man in the pecking order. He needs to leave, or at least, a loan with a permanent option come the summer.
