Ange Postecoglou will have been putting his Tottenham Hotspur players through their paces over the past couple of weeks.

Tottenham fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Wolves last time out and will have had 14 days to prepare by the time their clash against Crystal Palace on Saturday comes around.

Postecoglou will be looking for an improved display from his players after a disappointing performance against Wolves.

The absences of Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie were certainly felt during the defeat. Udogie has returned to full training this week but first-choice right-back Porro is yet to make a comeback.

The Aussie has regularly involved Tottenham’s academy players in training sessions this season and Max Robson, who plays at right-back, was spotted amongst the group yesterday.

Robson trains with Spurs first-team ahead of Palace clash

In a video posted on Tottenham’s official YouTube, Robson can be spotted with the first-team on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old shook hands with Richarlison before the session got underway and was involved in a mini-game alongside Spurs’ first-team stars.

Robson is yet to make his debut for Tottenham and has managed just four starts for the Under-21s this season.

Postecoglou already has Emerson Royal as an alternative to Porro, who would be expected to start if the Spaniard isn’t fit.

But it is certainly interesting to see Robson amongst the group with Porro sidelined.

It seems unlikely that he’ll get an opportunity this weekend but the ‘tremendous’ youngster will undoubtedly be eager to impress over the coming days.

It’s a must-win game for Spurs this weekend as they currently sit five points adrift in the race for the top four.

Postecoglou’s men do have a game in hand over fourth-placed Villa but Unai Emery’s men have impressed in recent weeks.
