A number of neutrals have taken to Twitter to laud some of the Leeds United fans with the away end of the Etihad Stadium seemingly proving to be much louder in the final stages of Manchester City’s win over Marcelo Bielsa’s side on Tuesday.
Leeds supporters had every reason to pack up and leave inside the first 15 minutes. The Whites would have known that their hopes of getting anything from the game largely depended on their ability to keep things tight for as long as possible.

Unfortunately, Leeds have been decimated by injuries and appeared to have nothing left in the tank after pushing Chelsea at the weekend. City meanwhile, were in no mood to do their opponents any favours.
It was quickly 2-0. The floodgates did not quite open until after half-time, but City still managed to get a third before the interval.

Leeds did occasionally threaten to get on the scoresheet. But it was obvious for some time that any goal for the visitors would simply be a consolation.
Joe Gelhardt looked bright when he came on. And Peter Crouch picked out Jack Harrison’s endeavour as one potential positive for Leeds. But it was certainly slim pickings for the Whites.
‘Proper football club’: Rival supporters laud Leeds fans after Manchester City loss
Having said that, one thing that can certainly be said about the game is that the Leeds supporters never turned on their side. In fact, in the latter stages of the contest, the away end seemed to be considerably louder than the rest of the stadium.
It has been a struggle for Leeds this term. But the supporters have stuck with the squad throughout. And they have been lauded by a number of rival fans on social media for the way they kept going on Tuesday…
