Everton manager Frank Lampard talked about how impressed he’s been with Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte.
Lampard was speaking ahead of his side’s upcoming Premier League match against Spurs.
Everton are coming off the back of a 2-1 defeat against Manchester United last weekend.
The Toffees had enjoyed a six-match unbeaten run up to that point that had carried Lampard’s side into mid-table.

Conte was one of Lampard predecessors at Chelsea, and understands the difficulties of managing the West London club.
The Italian manager fared much better than Lampard, winning a Premier League and FA Cup at Stamford Bridge.
Conte enjoyed an unceremonious exit at Chelsea, being sacked just days after starting pre-season in 2018.
Chelsea hired Lampard a year later, as he oversaw a transfer embargo and the development of some of the Blues best young players.
Lampard really impressed with Conte
When asked about his Tottenham counterpart, Lampard said: “He’s just a great coach, I know that from his Chelsea days.
“He came in and took on a squad that were in a difficult position and won the league.
“Nobody can understate that, to go from 16th in the league the year before or whatever it was to champions was amazing.
“He’s tended to do that and has had great success in his career.
“They’ve got fantastic players, but with your coaching hat on he’s got a very clear, defined way of playing, and it’s clearly well-coached and well delivered and they give you a huge threat which I think we’re all aware of.
“I’ve got nothing but the highest things to say about him as a coach.”
The pair have only met once in opposite dugouts.

It was one of Tottenham’s best performances under Conte, dispatching Lampard’s Everton side 5-0.
Conte has already suggested ahead of Saturday’s match that he’s been impressed with Lampard this season.
There’s plenty of mutual respect between the two coaches.
It’s a case of one of the league’s best defences coming up against some of the most exciting attackers in the world.
Son Heung-min in particular has rediscovered his best form after a brace against Frankfurt.
It should be an interesting contest, as Lampard comes up against the impressive Conte.
