Reuell Walters has reportedly travelled with Arsenal’s first-team for their mid-season training camp in Dubai.

The 19-year-old right-back has been included in Mikel Arteta’s squad that this week have travelled out to the Middle East for some warm-weather training during their Premier League break.

The Gunners have won just one of their last seven games and were recently dumped out of the FA Cup by Liverpool, with Arsenal in need of a refresh and new ideas.

And according to journalist Jeorge Bird, Walters has been included in Arsenal’s mid-season training camp in Dubai, where the senior squad are expected to revitalise ahead of the second half of the campaign.

Lauded as ‘amazing’ by Oleksandr Zinchenko, Walters is regarded as one of Arsenal’s most exciting youth prospects and a talent who is close to breaking into the senior set-up.

And the defender’s inclusion in Arteta’s squad in Dubai is a clear indicator that there could be a plan in place for Walters to feature for Arsenal in the coming weeks.

Reuell Walters will want to impress Arsenal coaches out in Dubai

For many fans, it has been a surprise this season that the likes of Walters are yet to receive their first-team debut despite being named on the bench on a handful of occasions.

Yet that could all change in the coming days if Walters impresses Arsenal’s coaches out in Dubai, with the Gunners likely to play some matches behind closed doors.

Indeed, Walters being included on the training camp is a telling sign that something could be in the works for the defender out in Dubai.

And the defender will have to grasp whatever opportunity that comes his way with both hands, with Walters clearly talented enough to feature for Arteta’s side.
