Ally McCoist has now been airing his thoughts on a potential Tottenham Hotspur target that has often been linked to Ange Postecoglou’s side.
The pundit was speaking on talkSPORT and was asked about the possibility of former Celtic winger Jota joining the club in January.

Jota is often linked with the move given his troubles since joining Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad.
And McCoist is certainly convinced that the winger can be a great fit under Postecoglou at Tottenham
He said: “Good player. Listen, I thought he was a terrific player, a real talent.
“I’m not sure actually Celtic have replaced him, to be honest with you, but he’s obviously had his problems, he wasn’t in the team at all out there was he, he’s not been playing?
He was then asked: “Do you think he has enough to cut it in the Premier League?”
McCoist: “Yes, and he looks like a Spurs player as well. He takes people on, he’s quite easy on the eye, he’ll score his fair share of goals.
“I think he’d be an interesting signing.”
Ally McCoist has no doubt Jota would be excellent under Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham
Of course, things could now progress very fast ahead of January.
Daniel Levy and Postecoglou have surely begun drawing up a shortlist that could prove crucial when building on some excellent work done thus far.

And in tandem to McCoist’s thoughts, £25m Jota is now considered very likely to make a reunion with Postecoglou in January.
Another player recently linked is Koki Machida – a left-sided centre-back playing his football in Belgium.
There’s clearly targets being identified by Spurs, but January can prove a difficult market.
And as we perhaps saw towards the end of the summer window, outgoings are as important as anything.
It does seem as if the writing is now on the wall for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, if it wasn’t already.
But being snubbed for Sunday’s lineup alongside Eric Dier was a clear indication that he doesn’t match Postecoglou’s ambitions.
