Ally McCoist and Ray Parlour disagree about Chelsea signing Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United

Chelsea are now stepping up their interest in signing Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United.

Following Benjamin Sesko’s move to Old Trafford, it’s believed that Manchester United will look to sell Alejandro Garnacho in an attempt to balance their books.

Fortunately for United, Chelsea see Garnacho as the perfect fit for their project, as revealed by TBR Football.

In the past, Garnacho’s attitude has been questioned at United, but Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca must be confident that he can get the best out of the 21-year-old winger.

Garnacho has somewhat hinted that he’s ready to leave United, and it seems as if a move to Chelsea could really come to fruition.

Ally McCoist isn’t a fan of Chelsea buying Alejandro Garnacho

That being said, both Ally McCoist and Ray Parlour have discussed the possibility of Garnacho heading to Chelsea on talkSPORT.

And whilst Parlour thought the move was a good idea for Chelsea, McCoist had serious reservations.

Sharing his view, Parlour said: “Attitude could be a bit of a problem, you see lots of players moving to different clubs when their attitude isn’t brilliant.

“But I think he’s very talented, so I think from Chelsea’s point of view, and I think Manchester United need to get him out of the club, could get a really good deal here, Chelsea.

“I think they wanted £50m for him before, didn’t they? But now that price is coming down daily probably.”

And whilst it would have been easy to jump on the Garnacho to Chelsea bandwagon, McCoist actually strongly opposed the move from a west London stance.

He said: “I’m not having it, I think Manchester United are desperately trying to get rid of him, and I just don’t think Chelsea need him at this moment in time.

“I know they got rid of Madueke across the city, but no.”

Jamie Gittens might not be thrilled by Alejandro Garnacho’s arrival

In the midst of Chelsea’s interest in Garnacho, it’s important to remember that Maresca’s side have already signed Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund.

Gittens wasn’t signed in time to feature at the Club World Cup, but he will be hoping to hold down the starting left wing role for Maresca this season.

In terms of options on the left, TBR Football recently revealed that Dortmund want to sign Tyrique George to somewhat replace Gittens.

And therefore it could be argued that Chelsea might be a little short on the left, even if the likes of Pedro Neto are able to operate on both sides.

But either way, Gittens might not be thrilled to see Garnacho arrive at Stamford Bridge, who would surely take a lot of his first team opportunities.
