Tottenham Hotspur defender Clement Lenglet has said that his teammates are really happy with goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

It was a full debut to remember for new Tottenham Hotspur defender Clement Lenglet.

His Spurs side remained unbeaten in the league with a 2-1 home win against Fulham.

Speaking to Tottenham’s official website, Lenglet reflected on his side’s latest victory.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg finally broke the deadlock at the end of the first half.

Fulham defended bravely but couldn’t prevent the Danish midfielder from opening the scoring.

Harry Kane doubled Tottenham’s lead in the second half, and Spurs should have been out of sight.

A late Aleksandar Mitrovic goal made the last few minutes nervy at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

He nearly equalised in the final moments, but Hugo Lloris made a heroic save from his deflected effort.

When speaking to Tottenham’s official site, Lenglet was full of praise for Lloris.

The defender said: “This is the definition of Hugo Lloris.

“He’s always present when we have a bad moment and when we are in difficulty.

“He showed all of his quality with this save, we are very happy to have Hugo behind us.”

Lenglet says Tottenham teammates are all happy to have Lloris

Hugo Lloris has been an ever-present player for Tottenham over the last decade.

The World Cup winner has captained Tottenham since 2015, and signed a new contract at the start of this year.

Tottenham’s coaches have said before that they don’t understand why Lloris doesn’t get the credit he deserves.

So Lenglet praising the goalkeeper after his first Tottenham start is a great sign.
