Coaches at Tottenham Hotspur cannot understand why Hugo Lloris doesn’t get the credit he deserves, according to the Athletic.
Lloris joined Spurs exactly 10 years ago to this day after making the switch from Ligue 1 outfit Lyon.
The captain has been a mainstay in the side ever since and is currently Tottenham’s longest-serving player at the club.
The 35-year-old has been a pivotal part of Spurs’ success in recent years but coaches at the club feel he deserves more credit.

Lloris doesn’t get the credit he deserves
Coaches at the club cannot understand why the goalkeeper is overlooked for such awards.
Lloris has never been selected for the Premier League team of the year as he has often been battling it out with other top goalkeepers.
But clearly staff at Tottenham feel he should have been selected on more than one occasion during his 10-year spell at the club.
The France captain has missed out to goalkeepers such as David de Gea, Petr Cech, Ederson and Alisson.
But his coaches hold the player in the highest regard, notes the Athletic.
The goalkeeping coaches would apparently fight Lloris’ case as the shot stopper would not do that himself.

The Spurs captain has been a loyal servant to the club and is now coming towards the end of his career.
He’s probably been slightly unlucky to have not been picked for the Premier League team of the year yet.
But there is still time for the player and despite being 35, Lloris doesn’t look like he is slowing down at all.
Conte is clearly a big fan of Lloris and the player even signed a new contract extension shortly after the Italian took charge last season.
