Alexander Isak is edging closer and closer to a Liverpool move, with the Reds submitting an opening bid of £120m to Newcastle United, which has sparked uproar on social media.
Newcastle rejected Liverpool’s initial advance, but a second offer is imminent from the Merseyside club.
TBR Football understands Newcastle will accept a bid of around £140m for Isak, which will absolutely obliterate the British transfer record. Isak only wants Liverpool.

The striker’s behaviour has been questionable throughout, with Isak refusing to train and forcing a move out. Now Newcastle fans have had enough.
Newcastle fans left furious at Alexander Isak bid from Liverpool
Furious Newcastle supporters are disgusted with the Swede’s behaviour.
One writes: ‘Wanting to move is understandable, but the way Isak has behaved this summer is disgusting. Worst I’ve seen from a Newcastle player.’
Another put: ‘Isak should be ashamed of himself, disrespectful behaviour to the fans who have stuck by him, waved banners, and this is how we are treated.
‘Imagine doing that to your so-called teammates, man, you should be ashamed of yourself. Nearly all Newcastle fans understand why he wants to be away, but the professionalism of Isak is an absolute joke! Tell him he’s staying and let him rot!’ one more puts.
A final adds: ‘I’m disappointed that Isak has shown himself to be a disloyal brat. I like all #NUFC fans thought so much more of him. Whether greedy agents advise him is irrelevant; he controls his own choices. I can’t think of many high-profile examples of this behaviour.’
Liverpool fans are loving Newcastle’s Isak meltdown
Liverpool supporters, on the contrary, are lapping it up and enjoying the Geordie ‘meltdown’ as Isak waits in the wings.
One writes: Geordies turning on Isak is hilarious. Gave you the best day you’ve ever seen and wants to better himself.’
Another writes: If Newcastle crumble and sell Isak to Liverpool, they’ve made themselves look so weak. Losing your prized asset, and also the guy you had lined up as a replacement, is hilarious.’
‘Newcastle are the biggest joke this summer, ‘ one more puts. Neutrals, of course, are also loving watching the drama unfold.
Newcastle fans are simply going to have to come to terms with it – Isak is going to be a Liverpool player, whether they like it or not – a bitter end for the Geordies and the Swede.
