Alex Iwobi has named teammate Seamus Coleman has the hardest worker in Everton training.
Toffees winger Iwobi claims it’s the club captain that sets the tone behind closed doors on the training pitches.
“For me, Seamus. Seamus actually leads by example,” Iwobi responded when asked the hardest worker in Everton training.
It’s hardly a surprise to hear Coleman impresses for Everton.
The Irish defender has been on the books at the Merseyside club since 2009 and he’s now made 350 appearances for them.
New Everton manager Rafael Benitez has already referred to him as an “inspiration for everyone”, so it suggests he may have an important role to play in the new season.
He’s an all-action right-back that is fully committed on the pitch. Also, aged 32, he should feel like he still has a few years left in the tank.

Everton need more leaders like Coleman
If Everton really want to propel themselves into Europe again, they need a squad with plenty of character.
They’ve fallen short on so many occasions in recent years, but Benitez will feel he can be different.
Coleman certainly plays with his heart on his sleeve on the pitch, which is a big reason supporters love him. But, it would be great for others to follow suit.
The likes of Jordan Pickford and Lucas Digne show it in glimpses, so can others now step up?
