After a difficult performance for Arsenal against Liverpool, Alan Shearer was very keen to consider the thoughts of one player watching on.
Despite dominating the first half and playing well, Arsenal ultimately slumped to a two nil loss which started to feel inevitable as the home side wasted chance after chance.

None of Arsenal’s front line finished their chances, with Kai Havertz perhaps proving most guilty with his misses.
And with that in mind, Alan Shearer suggested that Eddie Nketiah must be absolutely furious watching on.
Shearer was covering the game for the BBC and sympathised with Nketiah’s frustration at being sat on the bench whilst his team missed chances.
Speaking in the 62nd minute before Nketiah was introduced, Shearer said: “I just wonder what Eddie Nketiah is thinking on the bench with the amount of chances his team have created.
Presenter replied: “I think he’s stewing a bit..”
Shearer: “Just a bit.”
Nketiah came on for Arsenal with ten minutes to go shortly after his side went behind, which proved too little time to make a difference.

That being said, Kai Havertz’s performance did have some very promising characteristics.
The fall out from this game will be doom and gloom, and understandably so.

But Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal team did play very well at times, at it must be gut-wrenching for them to suffer another loss at home.
Havertz linked play brilliantly, creating several chances with his movement, however he didn’t have the confidence to finish.
The same could be said for almost every Arsenal player against Liverpool, leading to Shearer’s bemusement that Nketiah was sat on the bench.
However, the striker has clearly lost some faith from his manager, and is said to be available for £30m in January.
It’s been a very tough few weeks for Arsenal, but the club and the fans need to trust the process.
A title charge is still possible.
However, it now seems increasingly important that Arsenal make an addition in January, with Ivan Toney’s name bound to surface once again.
