Alan Pardew has given his verdict on the performance of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Oliver Skipp against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
The former Newcastle United and West Ham United manager was impressed by the display produced by Skipp in the Premier League game on Sunday.
So, what has Alan Pardew said about Oliver Skipp? Let’s take a look.
Praise for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Oliver Skipp vs Manchester United
Well, Tottenham Hotspur played out a 2-2 draw with Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday.
Oliver Skipp started the match for Tottenham. The 23-year-old was deployed on the right of a midfield-three in a 4-3-3 formation.
Skipp played well in his role. The midfielder created an early chance for Tottenham forward Timo Werner and was involved in the second goal for the North London club. He created a chance for Richarlison as well.
The midfielder worked hard, closed down well, and imposed himself in the middle of the season. It was a job well done by Skipp, and talkSPORT pundit Alan Pardew was impressed.

Pardew said about Skipp on talkSPORT (7:07 pm, January 14, 2024): “He played well today. I mean, I have seen a lot of him, to be honest, but he was good today.
“It is always great for a football club to have someone from the academy coming through. It boosts everyone at the training ground, all the staff, you are all backing the kid, so fair play to him today. He was excellent.”
My View: Oliver Skipp is an important player for Tottenham Hotspur
In my opinion, Tottenham Hotspur need Oliver Skipp in the coming weeks and months.
Spurs are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table and perhaps even win the title this season.
Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou needs players such as Skipp to play a role.
The 23-year-old has made three starts and 12 substitute appearances in the Premier League for Spurs this season.
Skipp has made 71 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. The midfielder has scored one goal in those games.
