Agents are telling Arsenal that Pedro Neto is better than Diogo Jota
Agents of Pedro Neto are pushing Arsenal to sign the Wolves winger by saying that he is much better than Liverpool star Diogo Jota.
The Gunners are on the market for at least one new signing before the window shuts tomorrow. Mikel Arteta’s side have been linked with a whole host of names, but Neto is reportedly their top target.

Wolves have been the home to numerous talented Portuguese players over the last few years. Jorge Mendes has helped them land plenty of gems – one of them was Jota.
The now-25-year-old was brilliant for Wolves in his three years there. He was always destined to join a bigger club, and Liverpool snapped him up in a deal worth £45 million in 2020 (BBC).
Jota has been sensational for the Reds since he moved to Anfield. He has scored 34 goals and provided nine assists in just 58 starts, which is a truly sensational return.
However, Neto’s agents, who happen to represent Jota too, are apparently telling Arsenal that the 22-year-old Wolves winger is much better than the Liverpool man.
That’s according to Dean Jones, who said in a video on the Football Terrace YouTube channel, as quoted by HITC: “The comparison has been made to Diogo Jota. He was offered to a few clubs before Liverpool did it and he’s taken off at Liverpool and hit levels quicker than people realised he would.
“Agents are saying ‘you thought Jota was going to be good, and he is, but this guy (Neto) will be better, he will be an upgrade on what he is capable of, do you want to miss out on that?’ This is being pushed a lot!”
TBR View:
Arsenal allowed Nicolas Pepe to leave on loan last week. That has left the Gunners short of options in the wide areas, which is why Arteta is keen to bring in a new winger.
The Gunners have been linked with plenty of names over the last few weeks, but it seems pretty clear that Neto is the man who is on top of their transfer wish list.
However, the 22-year-old is contracted to Wolves until the summer of 2027. That puts them in a really strong position, and their demands could prove to be a bit too much for Arsenal in this window.
Neto is likely to stay at Wolves beyond tomorrow’s deadline, but don’t be surprised if the Gunners go back in for him in one of the next two transfer windows.
