Reported Spurs target Cristian Romero is the “Ronaldo of defence”.
That’s according to agent Furio Valcareggi, who reckons Fabio Paratici should do all he can to snap Romero up.
Spurs is currently a hotbed of transfer speculation, with Paratici working hard to bolster the Tottenham ranks.
And multiple outlets suggest Spurs are closing in on Atalanta’s Romero, the reigning Serie A defender of the season.

Sky Sports reported on Friday that Spurs have made Atalanta an offer of at least £34m plus £8.5m in bonuses for the Argentina international.
Tuttomercatoweb asked Valcareggi whether Romero was closing in on a departure from Italy.
“He’s a great player, very good,” he replied.
“Prandelli, who has coached him, said he’s never seen such a strong player.
“If I was Paratici and Tottenham, I’d sign him right away. You’d sort out your defence for 10 years.
“It’s as if you signed Koulibaly, he’d sort out your defence right away. He’s the Ronaldo of defence.”

Spurs eyeing Copa America winner?
Romero, reported to be on £31,000-a-week, has made 42 appearances for Atalanta.
Last summer, Romero joined the Bergamo outfit on a two-year loan from Juventus with an option to buy for a reported £13.8million.
As per football.london, Atalanta may look to buy the player a year early then sell him for a profit.
Romero has also won five caps for Argentina and was part of the squad that won the Copa America this summer.
