Agent of Tottenham man said in 2019 that client suited Manchester United, now Solskjaer is reportedly keen
Manchester United reportedly want to sign Tottenham star Tanguy Ndombele – and agent’s claims in 2019 suggest he might be open to a move.
Back in the summer of 2019, 24-year-old Ndombele joined Tottenham for a club-record fee from Lyon. But only after being linked with both sides.
He got off to a good start at Spurs under Mauricio Pochettino, but the Argentine’s exit as manager culminated in the downfall of Ndombele.
The Frenchman has never returned to his best form following Pochettino’s exit. He was in and out of the side under Jose Mourinho, and now Nuno.
Back in 2019 before joining Spurs, Ndombele’s agent – Yvan Le Mee – compared his client to Paul Pogba and said United would be a good fit.
“I imagine him at Manchester United because he’s like Pogba. Ndombele could replace Pogba,” Le Mee told TuttoSport, as per Tribal Football.
Ndombele agent: Could Tottenham man shine for Manchester United?
Without a doubt. Ndombele has the ability that allows him to put on a show. Not only that, but he is the kind of player that puts on a show.
If Pogba does end up leaving United, with his contract due to end in June 2022, then Ndombele is the obvious replacement. Style of play helps, too.
United dominate the ball and look for gaps, camping in an opposition half. Spurs play on the counter and it does not suit Ndombele’s style.
He would be much more suited to United. Clearly, his agent thinks so, and that could also suggest Ndombele might be open to a move to Old Trafford.
