Rio Ferdinand has changed his mind on where Arsenal and West Ham United will finish in the Premier League table.
Both London clubs picked up impressive 1-0 wins this week. That has helped fourth-placed West Ham and fifth-placed Arsenal retain their positions ahead of Manchester United and Tottenham in the Premier League table.
Arsenal have two games in hand over the Hammers and wins in both games will push them five points clear of David Moyes’ side and just two behind European Champions Chelsea.
That would give them a big boost in the race for the top-four, but Ferdinand still doesn’t believe they’ll make it.
Ferdinand changes his mind on where Arsenal and West Ham will finish in PL table
Before Arsenal’s game yesterday, Ferdinand predicted on BT Sport that Manchester United would finish fourth, followed by West Ham, Tottenham and Arsenal.
Right after the Gunners beat Wolves, Ferdinand pushed Arsenal up and dropped West Ham down to the seventh position.
He said: “I might change it after today’s result (Wolves 0-1 Arsenal).
“Arsenal might move up and West Ham might finish seventh. I picked that (old prediction) before the result today, I want to change it.”

TBR View:
The race for the top-four will be a really exciting one this season.
Arsenal should be considered one of the favourites considering that they’ll get into fourth place if they win their games in hand. The other advantage for Mikel Arteta is that he has no other distractions, it’s just the Premier League.
West Ham, on the other hand, are still in the Europa League and it will be interesting to see how they’ll cope with that. Tottenham under Conte could be a real force in the business end of the season as well, while if Cristiano Ronaldo turns up every time for Manchester United until the end of the season, they could leapfrog everyone else.
This might just be the most competitive top-four race in the Premier League era and we’re here for it!
