Liverpool appear to be ramping up their summer business after links to Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi emerge.

The Merseysiders are yet to make their first signing of the summer but with the Premier League campaign kicking off 10 days, transfer plans are now being put in place.

TBR ran a report earlier today revealing that Liverpool are about to start talks to sign Zubimendi and now it’s emerged they’re targeting an attacker to add to Arne Slot’s ranks.

Liverpool want to sign Maximilian Beier

Liverpool registered their interest in Maximilian Beier earlier in the window and now a fresh update has just come to light.

According to German outlet Sport Bild, Liverpool have just made contact to sign the Hoffenheim striker and are seriously interested in landing his signature.

The Germany international, who has been labelled ‘very fast’ per Caught Offside, has other interested suitors in Aston Villa and Chelsea but Slot’s side are keen to put themselves in pole position.

Though, Borussia Dortmund are the frontrunners at this stage and are confident of striking an agreement with the 2002-born forward.

Maximilian Beier profile

Beier is considered one of the brightest prospects in German football right now after his 16-goal haul last season.

If Liverpool were to sign him, he’d bring a completely new profile to the side as he’s perhaps one of the fastest players in Europe.

In fact, Beier is thought to be even quicker than Kyle Walker, so for £34m, he’s certainly worth adding to Slot’s forward line.

He’d likely be in direct competition with Darwin Nunez, so the pair could share the responsibility of being Slot’s number nine.

In other news, Napoli have now entered tals to sign ‘one of the fastest players in Europe’ after he’s linked to Liverpool.
