‘Add another zero’, ‘No chance’: Some Everton fans react to reported interest in their £17m-rated star
Everton midfielder Allan is now being linked with Real Madrid – and some Toffees fans on Twitter have responded by claiming there is no chance he can be allowed to leave Goodison Park.
According to Defensa Central, Spanish giants Madrid are interested in the 30-year-old.
It is understood that Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti would like a reunion with the £17million-rated (€20million) Brazilian star.
There is certainly some extra spice to this transfer report, as controversially Ancelotti decided to quit Everton this summer to compete a move to the Bernabeu.
It will be an even more bitter pill to swallow if he takes Allan with him.
Ancelotti signed Allan last year to bring him to Everton, and right now he’s still got two years remaining on his contract at Goodison Park.
Aside from his injury problems, the aggressive defensive midfielder was a key part of the Toffees team when he played this season.
Everton fans desperate to keep Allan
Everton must stand firm over Madrid’s interest because he’s so important for them.
Firstly, he’s one of the signings from last year that noticeably added more quality on the pitch. Secondly, he became a fan favourite. He stands for everything Toffees fans love with his passion and commitment, so allowing him to go would be unpopular. Finally, the new manager at Goodison Park can’t have his best players being sold.
In conclusion, it’s vital Everton don’t lose their South American enforcer in the centre of the park.
