With Celtic failing on so many levels this season, it’s difficult to know where to start in order to try and reverse the current slump they are in.
From creating chances to scoring goals, this Celtic team is a complete shadow of the ruthless Ange Postecoglou side the fans were watching just seven short months ago.
But pundit, Gordon Dalziel, believes he knows where Rodgers should look to improve. In fact, he believes the Celtic manager has so if that’s the case where does the team go from here?
Dalziel said [Clyde SSB], “I think it’s their Achilles heel, set plays. I really do. If you look at this season, the cheap goals that they are giving away will really disappoint Brendan Rodgers.
“Because he would have worked on that and made sure that everybody knows their job and responsibility.”
I would go further and say that Rodgers needs to be demanding more from his goalkeeper in these set plays.
Joe Hart‘s inability to command his six-yard box has come under serious scrutiny this season after high-profile mistakes against Motherwell and Hibs.
Labelled a ‘set piece disaster‘, Hart has also been questioned on his positioning for free kicks on two occasions this season.

Against Feyenoord in the Champions League, the 36-year-old was accused of being caught out of position and against Hearts on Saturday, it was like travelling back in time to Rotterdam as Stephen Kingsley fired Hearts two goals ahead.
This Celtic team lack steel in defence. They also need a midfield enforcer to ensure that these set-pieces don’t happen in the first place.
Will they address that in the January transfer window? Brendan Rodgers will need to add that to his ever-growing list of problems to deal with.
