BBC pundit Garth Crooks claims Brentford striker Ivan Toney’s form has tumbled since he ‘destroyed’ Leeds United a few weeks ago.
Toney has been in brilliant form for the Bees this season and has already bagged six goals in 10 appearances.
The £45 million striker even earned a call-up to Gareth Southgate’s England squad last month, but didn’t manage to earn his first cap.
Three of Toney’s goals came against Leeds at the beginning of September. The English striker scored a brilliant hat-trick but has managed just one goal since.
And Crooks thinks Toney and Brentford’s form has tumbled since they thrashed Leeds 5-2 at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Toney’s form has tumbled
Writing in his latest column for BBC Sport, Crooks picked Bruno Guimaraes in his team of the week after Newcastle United thrashed Brentford 5-1 on Saturday.
Toney got Brentford’s only goal of the game from the penalty spot. But Crooks feels he currently looks a shadow of himself.
He said: “Brentford and Ivan Toney looked a shadow of the side who destroyed Leeds a few weeks ago. Meanwhile, Bruno Guimaraes is playing out of his skin for Newcastle.”

Leeds were linked with a move for Toney over the summer as Jesse Marsch looked to bolster his attacking options.
The Sun reported that Leeds were one of the sides interested in signing the Brentford striker during the recent transfer window.
Toney put in a brilliant display against the Whites in September but has struggled slightly since.
The criticism of Toney may be a bit harsh from Crooks though, especially as the striker still managed to score against Newcastle on Saturday.
Brentford’s form has dipped as they have only picked up one point in their last three games. But the Bees have faced a brilliant Arsenal side and an in-form Newcastle during that period.
