Chelsea could make a late bid for Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson.
That is according to journalist Ben Jacobs, who has reported Newcastle’s stance on Wilson.
So, what has been reported about Chelsea, Newcastle United and Callum Wilson? Let’s take a look.
Chelsea linked with Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson
Well, according to journalist Ben Jacobs in GiveMeSport, Chelsea are interested in signing Callum Wilson from Premier League rivals Newcastle United in the final days of the January transfer window.
Jacobs has said that Chelsea have been alerted that Wilson could be sold for £18-20 million.

Although the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners have not made a bid for the striker, things could change, according to the reporter.
Jacobs told GiveMeSport: “Chelsea have been alerted to the fact Callum Wilson could be available for £18-20m, although Newcastle sources still insist he is not for sale.
“This only serves to show Newcastle may have to sell someone they don’t want to lose. There has been no move for Wilson yet from Chelsea, though, but a lot can change in the final few days of the window.”
My View: Chelsea should not sign Callum Wilson
In my view, Chelsea should not sign Callum Wilson from Newcastle United in the coming days.
Although Chelsea could do with a proven goalscorer for the second half of the season and beyond, they need to be wary of Wilson’s injury record.
The England international striker, who has been linked with Arsenal as well, is also 31. Chelsea should be looking at a front-man who is in his mid-20s for the long term.
Wilson, who is on the radar of West Ham United as well, has made 215 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. The £20 million (The Daily Mail striker has scored 86 goals and given 23 assists in those games.
