Sevilla defender Loic Bade has appeared to confirm that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing him this summer.
Spurs strengthened their defence last month by bringing in Radu Dragusin from Genoa. Ange Postecoglou’s side could do with another centre-back, and Bade has all but confirmed that Tottenham want him.

Loic Bade says ‘Tottenham are interested’ in signing him
Tottenham have improved a lot compared to last season, but they could still do better at the back.
Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven are both incredible, but bringing in another player after Radu Dragusin to push them will only be a good thing.
Spurs have been linked with plenty of defenders over the last few months, and Sevilla’s Loic Bade is one of them. Ange Postecoglou reportedly viewed him as a Plan B last month when Bayern Munich tried to hijack Spurs’ deal to sign Dragusin.
Now, Bade has addressed all the rumours, and he has appeared to confirm that ‘Tottenham are interested’ in signing him in the summer.
He told Estadio Deportivo: “There is a little bit of satisfaction. When a great club like Tottenham are interested, it’s because you do good things.
“But, on the other hand, there is something that tells you to be calm, you have to work and concentrate on games.”
In the same interview, Bade then suggested that he would be happy to spend the next 20 years at Sevilla because he loves the club and the city.
“I like the city, I am very good here. If I have to stay here 20 years, I will. I am very comfortable,” he said.

Bade has been on Tottenham’s radar since last year
Loic Bade spent a disappointing six months at Nottingham Forest in the first half of last season, but he didn’t play a single minute there.
He moved to Sevilla on loan in January last year and that move was made permanent in the summer after he signed a four-year contract there which is protected by a £51 million (€60m) release clause (ED).
Before that happened last summer, Tottenham were linked with a move to sign Bade, and the Frenchman was once again of interest last month.
Now, it looks like Spurs are still keen, and it will be interesting to see if they will make a move to sign him in the upcoming summer transfer window.
