Ahead of the January transfer window it seems that Tottenham Hotspur will be busy strengthening Ange Postecoglou’s squad.
Spurs are said to be targeting the addition of a central defender, a midfielder and a forward in the window.

And whilst some lofty names are being mentioned such as Conor Gallagher and Jean-Clair Todibo, perhaps Tottenham should consider re-signing a face from the past.
Ian Wright once labelled it a ‘mistake’ when Spurs sold Kyle Walker-Peters to Southampton for £12m back in 2020.
And when considering his form for the club in the Championship this season, there may be an element of truth to his words.
As well as his performances this campaign, 26-year-old Walker-Peters did also thrive for Southampton in the Premier League, even when they were experiencing difficult periods.
And with Tottenham reportedly having a £30m buy-back-option, that may be one to consider.
Of course, that price does seem a little steep, but if Tottenham were able to negotiate a reduced fee, then Walker-Peters could be a very clever addition for Postecoglou in January.
The defender is very comfortable on both sides of the defence, someone who can cover for and compete with Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro.
Moreover, the England international is already well adapted to an inverted role, a player who still seems to have a lot of potential.
Kyle Walker-Peters could be perfect January addition for Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham
Of course, signing Walker-Peters would also make a lot of sense from a home-grown perspective.
The full-back came through the Spurs academy and therefore would be a smart addition, allowing greater flexibility in the transfer market.

Oliver Skipp is a player who seems right on the periphery of Postecoglou’s Tottenham project, and perhaps a January departure could be more feasible with a home-grown replacement.
There’s a lot of advantages to a deal, and it’s definitely one that should be considered.
And although Walker-Peters doesn’t quite fit the profile of the three positions being targeted, a deal could prove good value in the long-run.
There’s bound to be a ton of change at Tottenham over the coming months and years, and return of a familiar face in January could be a welcome one.
And it also seems that Tottenham may now be in pole position to sign a player very familiar with Premier League fans.
