Arsenal are still in the market for a new striker as we approach the final two weeks of the summer transfer window.
Mikel Arteta has the same attacking options at his disposal from last season, with Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah to call upon – although there is a feeling that the Gunners need another frontman to provide more firepower.
Edu Gaspar – Director of Football at Arsenal – seems to be aware of this amid links to one of Europe’s best forwards, although he has now been offered to Chelsea in a sudden turn of events…
Victor Osimhen offered to Chelsea amid Arsenal links
A story from The Times now states that Victor Osimhen has been offered to Chelsea.
Napoli are desperate to sign Romelu Lukaku and reunite the Belgian with Antonio Conte in Naples, so the Serie A side have now decided to put the Nigeria international on the negotiating table.
It comes after Gianluca Di Marzio claimed that Arsenal would like to sign Osimhen this summer.

The Napoli No.9 impressively scored 17 goals in 32 appearances last season – while also providing four assists – although it was a disappointing campaign for the Italian giants, who ended up finishing tenth in Serie A.
Interestingly, Osimhen is said to have handed in a transfer request as he aims to leave Naples this summer, with Calcio Napoli 24 adding that Arsenal are willing to spend £63m to sign the Nigerian before transfer deadline day arrives on Friday 30th August.
However, that is unlikely to be a sufficient amount, with The Times claiming that Napoli value the 25-year-old at a sum of £90m.
Mikel Arteta and Edu have to get involved
There is no way Arsenal can allow Osimhen to join Chelsea in the current climate.
The man from Lagos is a game-changer of a striker, one who could genuinely bridge the gap between Arsenal and Manchester City with his goalscoring qualities.
After all, Osimhen netted 26 goals in just 32 Serie A appearances in the 2022/23 campaign to bring the title to Napoli for the first time in 33 years, so he has already proven himself as a difference maker.

While Chelsea have the obvious advantage of being able to offer Lukaku in return, Arsenal can provide UEFA Champions League football to the Nigerian, whereas the Blues only have the UEFA Conference League.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Osimhen could soon be coming to the Premier League.
