Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is ready to sell Emile Smith Rowe this summer even though he is desperate to stay at the club.
The Englishman is one of many players whose future is up in the air ahead of what is expected to be a busy window for the Gunners. Smith Rowe is a fine talent, but Arsenal know he’s worth a fair bit of money.

Emile Smith Rowe is desperate to stay at Arsenal
Emile Smith Rowe is Arsenal through and through.
The Englishman has been a part of the Gunners’ academy since he was a kid. He was always one of the most talented players in the youth sides, and he eventually broke into the first team.
After a spectacular first 18 months under Mikel Arteta, Smith Rowe’s career has been troubled by injuries. He didn’t start a game all last season and has played just 358 minutes in all competitions this time around.
Dean Jones has now claimed in his report on GiveMeSport that Arsenal are willing to sell Smith Rowe this summer ‘if a suitable offer is tabled’.
It has been claimed that Aston Villa and West Ham United both want to sign him this summer, but the 23-year-old is actually ‘desperate’ to stay at the Emirates.
Arsenal, however, are confident they can get good money for Smith Rowe. Even though they aren’t actively looking to sell him, they are prepared to let him go if the right offer arrives.

Arsenal valued Smith Rowe at £60m in January
When Emile Smith Rowe is fit and gets a consistent run of games, we truly believe he is one of the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League. He’s just a joy to watch.
The Englishman is a phenomenal talent. He scored 10 times from midfield in the 2021/22 season in just 21 starts in the Premier League. He was only 21 at the time as well.
It would be silly to let Smith Rowe leave for small money, and we’re sure Edu won’t do that. It was claimed ahead of the January transfer window that Arsenal wanted £60 million for the 23-year-old (TeamTalk).
West Ham are holding internal talks over whether to sign Smith Rowe this summer. If they want to, they will probably have to return some of that Declan Rice money back to Arsenal.
