Tottenham Hotspur have been looking to add to their attack on transfer deadline day, but one of their key targets could be heading elsewhere.

The North London club have managed to sign one forward this window, with Randal Kolo Muani set to join Tottenham on loan from Paris Saint-Germain.

The Frenchman joins on a simple loan deal until the end of the season, acting as cover for the injured Dominic Solanke.

But Kolo Muani wasn’t the only attacker Spurs were after on Monday, and that player has now entered new discussions with another club.

Ademola Lookman holds talks with Galatasaray after Tottenham discussions

Ademola Lookman has held talks with Galatasaray over a move to the Turkish Super Lig, according to Yagiz Sabuncuoglu.

The Turkish club are attempting to make an audacious move for the Nigerian international, with their transfer window still open until September 12.

Atalanta want £47 million for the attacker; however, Galatasaray seemingly have plans to sign him for less, just like they did with Victor Osimhen.

Lookman is still in Italy, suggesting that Spurs were never close to finalising a deal for the player on the final day of the window.

TBR Football understands that Tottenham had held talks with Lookman about a move to North London, and the 27-year-old was keen on the move.

But following Solanke’s injury, Spurs opted to move for a number nine instead, signing Kolo Muani on loan from PSG.

Lookman had handed in a transfer request at Atalanta in an attempt to force a move out, but he will not be heading to one of the major clubs.

Spurs will now have to wait until January to sign a left winger, having been chasing several different options throughout the summer.

Tottenham right to wait until January to relaunch Savino bid

Tottenham are now set to wait until the new year to sign a left winger, with Savinho likely to be the top target for the Lilywhites.

Tottenham wanted the 21-year-old this summer and had been pushing to sign him, however, Pep Guardiola blocked Savinho’s move away from Man City.

City are well stocked in the wide areas, which is why the winger was keen to leave, and his situation could be reassessed in January.

Lookman would have been a great option for Spurs, but waiting to land their top target in Savinho at a later date is the wiser move.
