A striker compared to Luis Suarez is now ready to push for his move to West Ham – as he feels he is being overvalued by his current club.

Despite failing to secure European football for the first time in three seasons, the Hammers are still a very attractive club, who can offer targets the chance to play in London, before a crowd of over 60,000 on a weekly basis.

Jhon Duran ready to force West Ham move

A story from Give Me Sport now claims that Jhon Duran is ready to kick up a fuss at Aston Villa in order to secure a move to West Ham.

The Colombia international was recently the subject of a £35m bid from West Ham – according to Give Me Sport – but feels he is being priced out of a transfer, as Aston Villa hold out for a sum of £40m.

Duran is now ready to “agitate” at Villa Park to secure his move, which presumably means the South American is willing to go on strike under Unai Emery to get his move, or hand in a transfer request.

The Colombian is desperate for more playing time after being forced to act as deputy to Ollie Watkins last season, making just three starts in the Premier League.

Despite that, Duran – who is said to be clashing with Emery – still managed to score five Premier League goals, and is now determined to become the main man at West Ham.

Give Me Sport believe the 20-year-old’s stance has encouraged West Ham to make another move, and if the next bid is rejected, it sounds as if Duran will then become a headache for Emery in the Midlands.

West Ham could sign another Luis Suarez or Romelu Lukaku

Some West Ham fans will know plenty about Duran after his impressive cameo appearances last season, but the precocious youngster is still yet to become a household name in English football.

Therefore, a comparison may help for those who know little about the man from Medellin.

Interestingly, Wilberth Perea – Duran’s U15 coach at Envigado – said the pair examined Suarez and Romelu Lukaku when looking to improve, as the striker possesses similar traits to the Uruguayan and the Belgian.

Perea told Sky Sports: “We looked at Romelu Lukaku, because he is another physically strong striker with similar characteristics to Jhon. We also took a lot from Luis Suarez, how he found space in the area, his movement with and without the ball, and Karim Benzema.”
