Andre Trindade has admitted he dreams of a move to the Premier League after claims Arsenal’s sporting director Edu Gaspar has personally scouted the Fluminense midfielder.

Andre is attracting serious interest from England ahead of the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old’s situation at Fluminense is reportedly being monitored by the likes of Tottenham, Fulham and Arsenal.

Indeed, journalist Graeme Bailey has told the Talking Transfers that Edu has watched the £30 million-rated Andre.

The Gunners could be in the market for a new midfielder next month as Mikel Arteta bids to bolster his squad before the run-in for the title.

There have been suggestions that Andre is likely to leave Brazil next month after missing out on a move over the summer.

Now, the midfielder has been speaking to Ben Jacobs and has admitted he dreams of playing in the Premier League

Andre wants Premier League switch amid interest from Arsenal

As quoted by the CBS Sports journalist, Andre admitted that he’s keen to secure a move to England in the future.

“I watch the Premier League and it’s a big dream to play there,” he said. “I’m focused on finishing the season with Fluminense and realising our own dream of winning the Club World Cup.

“But my dream is clear, to be a Premier League player.”

Andre has impressed over the past year and has even earned four caps for Brazil. The talented midfielder played a key role in Fluminense winning the Copa Libertadores this year.

It’s no secret that Arsenal are eyeing a potential move for another option in the middle of the park, with Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz also linked.

But the Villa man could be out of reach next month and Andre would certainly represent a more affordable option.

Yet, it’s important to note that Jacobs also names Fulham as the frontrunners for his signature at this stage.

Nevertheless, you’d imagine that if Arsenal decide to step up their interest, the midfielder may favour a switch to the Emirates Stadium.
