Matty Cash
Villa fans love him already, but neutrals don’t appear to have properly acknowledged how good Matty Cash has been at Villa so far.

The summer signing from Nottingham Forest has settled right in and nailed down the right-back spot under Dean Smith.
He’s been one of the Premier League’s most industrious players so far, rivalling Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante in terms of tackles and interceptions.
There are a lot of quality English right-backs out there at the moment, but it’s surely only a matter of time before people start talking about Cash more.
Ezri Konsa
He’s had an absolutely brilliant start to 2020/21.

When people think about Aston Villa defenders, they immediately think of Tyrone Mings, who has been great for the club and become an England international since the club’s return to the Premier League in 2019.
The spotlight being mainly on Mings means £12 million signing Konsa (BBC Sport) doesn’t always get his due credit from neutrals, but he is every bit as important as his fellow Englishman.
The club have made big improvements defensively this season and Konsa has been key to that.
Trezeguet
Neutrals don’t acknowledge what he brings for Villa due to the goals and assist contributions of the likes of Jack Grealish, Ross Barkley and Ollie Watkins.

Villa fans love the Egypt international for his workhorse style, but he does also pop up with a few goals here and there.
He’s largely kept Bertrand Traore out of the side, which is a testament to how valued he is by Smith.
