Newcastle United have the chance to bounce back from Saturday’s disappointing FA Cup exit against Leicester City tonight.
Eddie Howe didn’t choose his strongest line-up against the League One outfit and was punished.
Now, The Telegraph’s Luke Edwards has provided a positive update ahead of this evening’s match.
It’s been a fantastic start to the season for Howe’s side, who are remarkably fighting for Champions League football.
Before Saturday’s defeat, Newcastle had been unbeaten in all competitions since August.

Although playing in Europe next season would be an incredible achievement, silverware would arguably be even better.
Newcastle are just three games away from the Carabao Cup final, starting with this evening’s quarter-final against Leicester.
And now, Edwards has said that Allan Saint-Maximin will be involved this evening, which is a big boost.
The 25-year-old has appeared in the last two rounds of the competitions, but missed out at the weekend through illness.
Saint-Maximin will be involved vs Leicester
Speaking on Twitter, Edwards said: “Allan Saint Maximin trained today and will be involved against Leicester tomorrow night.”
Saint-Maximin has appeared in every Premier League game since the restart of domestic football.
All of his appearances have been cameos from the bench as he continues to build up his fitness levels.
The 25-year-old missed a portion of the season with a hamstring injury before picking up a muscle problem.
Injuries have consistently hampered Saint-Maximin’s time at St. James’ Park, but when he has played this season he’s been brilliant.

Bruno Guimaraes is a big fan of playing alongside the Frenchman, and it’s a combination Newcastle fans haven’t seen enough of.
He’s been backed by Chris Wood to be a world-class played one day, but so much of that comes down to his long-term fitness.
It’s unclear whether Saint-Maximin will be involved from the start tonight or just on the bench.
Howe will be aware that he can’t rush him into action given how fragile he can be.
However, if he only missed Saturday’s match with illness, as long as he’s fully recovered, he should be good enough shape to play a big role tonight.
