The Welsh media have delivered their verdict on Tottenham Hotspur forward Brennan Johnson’s latest display for Wales.
The Tottenham star suffered heartache last night as Wales missed out on a spot at Euro 2024.
Wales fell to defeat against Poland after Dan James missed their final spot-kick in a penalty shootout.
It means that Brennan Johnson, Ben Davies and loanee Joe Rodon won’t be representing their country in Germany this summer.
After impressing against Finland last week and netting a goal in a 4-1 win, Johnson struggled to make an impact in what was a cagey 120 minutes of action on Tuesday evening.

Y Clwb Pel-Droed handed Johnson a 5/10 rating and claim the forward didn’t offer enough in the final third on the night.
The outlet wrote: “It was a relatively quiet night from the Spurs forward. He had spells of tidy footwork and dribbling in possession but overall didn’t offer enough to threaten the Poland defence. He was replaced in the 70th minute by Daniel James.”
Wales Online were slightly more generous with their rating as they handed Johnson a six. But the outlet also feel the 22-year-old struggled against Poland.
“Looked more of a danger with the ball at his feet early in the game and ran at defenders,” they wrote.
“But he quietened after a bright start and struggled to impart his quality on the tie.”

It was a bitter blow for Tottenham’s Welsh internationals and Johnson will be disappointed with his display.
The winger has enjoyed a fairly promising debut campaign at Spurs but he has struggled to produce consistent performances.
This was the case during the international break too as he put in a brilliant display against Finland before struggling on Tuesday evening.
Johnson’s Tottenham stats
Despite some early criticism after his summer switch from Nottingham Forest, Johnson has posted decent numbers for Spurs this term.
The Welshman has managed 10 goal contributions in 25 Premier League appearances for Ange Postecoglou’s side.
His international and Spurs teammate Davies feels he will only continue to improve as he adapts to life in north London.
