£21m ace linked with Spurs posts message on Instagram, gets reply from Sergio Reguilon
Spurs have already sealed their first signing of the Fabio Paratici and Nuno Espirito Santo era.
On Saturday, Tottenham confirmed Pierluigi Gollini’s arrival on loan from Atalanta.
However, Paratici is known for negotiating with multiple players for one position at the same time.
As a result, Spurs are currently a hotbed of transfer speculation, and some really good players are apparently in the mix.
One of those is Bryan Gil, an incredibly talented 20-year-old attacker currently on the books of Sevilla.
Fabrizio Romano claimed on Thursday that Gil to Tottenham is a done deal, with Erik Lamela going the other way.
Spurs will reportedly also pay the Spanish club around £21million for their player.
Spurs set for “the new Dele and Dier”?
According to The Athletic, Gil has sounded out Tottenham’s Sergio Reguilon, a former teammate at Sevilla.
And given Reguilon has responded to one of Gil’s posts on Instagram, it suggests the two are indeed in touch.
The Sevilla attacker posted a message on social media after the 0-0 draw with Egypt at the 2020 Olympics, prompting a response from Reguilon.
And the exchange didn’t go unnoticed amongst Spurs fans.
In Spanish slang, “crack” means “top player” – and Gil certainly has all the makings of one.
The question is, will he be showcasing his skills at Spurs? Judging by the reports, it doesn’t seem too unlikely.
